About the Owners

Johnny's Asian Bistro is a family owned and operated restaurant. The owners, Johnny and his wife Sophie, are dedicated to providing their customers with the best Asian food in Parker (and dare we say Colorado). They believe in serving delicious food made with healthy, high-quality ingredients at affordable prices.

About Johnny:

Johnny was born in Vietnam to Chinese parents. This backdrop exposed Johnny to a diverse abundance of flavors and styles of cooking. However, Johnny didn't have too much time to develop his passion for food. The Vietnam war broke out when he was still a young boy and his family forced him to flee the country for a chance at a better life. A refugee, Johnny bounced around different places including Hong Kong until he finally secured a place in the United States. Johnny completed his culinary training at restaurants in Colorado and New York. He ultimately found his home in Colorado and has been here ever since.

About Sophie:

Sophie was born in Fu Zhou, a southern region of China. Her father was an economist and her mother an engineer. Because the communist party considered them "intellectuals" they were sent to the countryside for re-education and to teach rural farmers. Sophie has fond memories of growing up in the country raising chickens and rabbits and she also remembers running around playing with her schoolmates in the local village. Even though Sophie had plenty of fun as a child, she dreamed of pursuing a better life and escaping the communist regime of China. She did this by excelling to the top of her classes in school and gaining admission at China's most prestigious university. Her hard work paid off and after graduating, Sophie finally got her wish and came to the States for graduate school. Today, she pursues many community interests and owns her own business. She loves the life she's made for herself in Colorado and hasn't looked back.
